Overview

Sossus Dune Lodge is nestled against the low-lying mountains in the Namib-Naukluft National Park, providing guests with breath-taking views across the plains to the surrounding dunes. Built in a village style, the lodge blends in with its surroundings and was built with the utmost care paid to the environment. Falling under the Namibia Wildlife Resorts umbrella, Sossus Dune Lodge is the only lodge that is situated inside of the Namib-Naukluft National Park. This allows guests the benefit of being able to reach Sossusvlei before the sunrises and to leave after the sun sets. After an adventurous day of exploring the area you can sit back and relax in the utmost comfort under the large, expansive African Sky.

Accommodation

Accommodation is provided by 25 chalets, spread out in an afro-village like fashion. The thatched chalets are connected by a network of walkways and each chalet is beautifully appointed, built with predominantly natural materials. Three of the walls are made of canvas, shaped by wooden frames while the remaining wall is made completely of glass, allowing guests to take-in the incredible surroundings. A combination of wood and leather furnishing gives the chalets a luxurious, African-colonial feel. Plush beds and suede lounge chairs treat guests to the ultimate in desert comfort. Each chalet has its own en-suite bathroom, complete with eco-friendly soaps, shampoos and body lotions and creams.
